OUR MISSION
Welcome to the Doctors of Color Consortium, a nonprofit mentoring organization dedicated to increasing diversity in medicine. Our mission is to connect underrepresented students with mentors from high school, to college, to medical school, and all the way through professional practice. We believe in the power of mentorship and strive to create a supportive network for aspiring doctors of color.
THEORY-DRIVEN MULTI-FACETED APPROACH
Our mentorship programs are designed to provide guidance and support to underrepresented students pursuing a career in medicine. Through personalized mentorship, we aim to inspire, guide, and empower the next generation of doctors of color. Join us in making a difference in the medical community.
Igniting Potential
We believe brilliance is everywhere — it just needs light. From school visits to hands-on workshops, we help underrepresented students see themselves in medicine and take their first steps with confidence.
Mentorship at Every Level
Our multi-tier model connects mentees and mentors across every stage: high school, college, med school, and beyond. It’s not just a match — it’s a movement, building trust and visibility from the ground up.
Tools for the Journey
From MCAT prep to interview coaching to navigating imposter syndrome, we offer tangible resources that empower future doctors to not just survive — but lead, innovate, and change the game.
Voice & Visibility
Healing the Pipeline
Representation matters — and we amplify it. We train, platform, and support BIPOC voices to speak boldly in rooms they weren’t always invited into — from policy tables to classrooms to keynote stages.
We go beyond inspiration. Our research and programs target the exact points where students of color fall through the cracks. We don’t just patch the pipeline — we redesign it to be more just, joyful, and sustainable.
Rooted Locally, Connected Globally
From neighborhood school halls to international Zoom calls, we nurture a growing network of mentors, partners, and allies working toward equity in medicine across communities and continents.
