What Support Looks Like

At Doctors of Color Consortium, we offer various mentorship programs aimed at supporting underrepresented students in their journey towards a career in medicine. Our programs provide personalized guidance, resources, and networking opportunities to help students succeed at every stage of their academic and professional development.

BECOME A MENTOR

At D.O.C.C., mentorship is more than advice: it’s access, advocacy, and showing up. Whether you're a med student, resident, or attending, you'll be matched intentionally, trained thoughtfully, and supported as you help guide the next generation of doctors of color. One hour a month can change a life. Maybe even yours.

BECOME A MENTEE

If you’ve ever dreamed of becoming a doctor but didn’t know where to start — start here. At D.O.C.C., we see you. We pair you with people who’ve been where you are, who get it, and who want to help you get there. You don’t need a perfect resume. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need curiosity, commitment, and the courage to reach out. We’ll walk the rest of the way with you.

FUEL THE PIPELINE

Mentorship builds futures — but it takes resources to keep the pipeline flowing. Your donation helps us provide programming, supplies, training, and most importantly, access.

Can’t give financially right now? Get creative.

You can:

  • Host a workshop or speak at an event

  • Donate stethoscopes, anatomy kits, or school supplies

  • Connect us with your organization, church, or alma mater

  • Share your story. Lend your voice. Open a door.

Whatever you can give, it matters.
