EMPOWERING
UNDERREPRESENTED
STUDENTS IN MEDICINE
Welcome to the Doctors of Color Consortium, a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing diversity in medicine. Our mission is to connect underrepresented students with mentors from high school to professional practice, fostering a supportive community and creating opportunities for success. Join us in making a difference today.

Our Story
It started quietly—residents covering each other’s shifts so we could slip away and speak at a local high school. Medical students began tagging along. The conversations that followed—about identity, mentorship, and navigating medicine as people of color—were raw, necessary, and deeply honest. From those moments, D.O.C.C. was born: built by mentors, shaped by lived experience, and driven by the belief that no one should have to find their way alone.
